Mar 29, 2014. #7. I believe that 1.5" hot rolled square tubing will fit in 2" square tube with 3/16 walls. It won't fit in 1/4" wall. There might be some slop left to right and up and down with the 3/16" wall. You could have your 1.5 " steel tool arm milled to the appropriate dimensions but that is adding complexity.

Put the disc on the grinder, use sandpaper with a hard backing on the edge to make it more round, and to true the face. Put a few coats of Danish Oil onto the disc to help stabilize it from any warping. Now you have a disc grinder! You may wish to put a thin rubber sheet on the disc to soften the surface slightly.

Of course TC&G is way better tool then Deckel clone - if you actually have accessories for it. My plan is lathe HSS, eventually HSS for horizontal mill, drill bits (through its not that easy), HSS end mills. I just sharpened 2 sets of knives for wood planner but I used surface grinder.
